Hoyt Architects prepared the master plan for this environmental park located in the City of North Port, FL. It is situated on 160 acres of heavily wooded land and connects to the Carlton Preserve. It includes over 3-1/2 miles of trails with scenic overlooks for hiking, bike riding and horseback riding. Primitive campsites were designed with a fire ring, barbeque grills, picnic tables and a picnic shelter. Amenity locations were sensitive to the existing native mixed upland, hammock, pine flatwoods and depression marsh habitats.
