Hoyt Architects

The Mark

The Mark is a mixed-use development and urban design project in Downtown Sarasota, Florida, developed by Hoyt Architects. As urban design architects in Sarasota, the project spans two full city blocks and integrates commercial, retail, and residential uses to support a dense, walkable urban environment.

This Sarasota urban design project emphasizes connectivity and pedestrian experience, featuring a central retail-oriented breezeway arcade that extends State Street and creates a direct pedestrian link between Lemon Avenue and Pineapple Avenue. The design reinforces the surrounding street network and enhances the public realm in downtown Sarasota.

As a leading example of urban design architecture in Sarasota, The Mark activates the streetscape with ground-level retail and thoughtful massing that supports a vibrant, mixed-use district. A raised amenity level provides a private “oasis” overlooking downtown Sarasota, including a rooftop pool and shared spaces that contribute to a livable, urban lifestyle.
