Corona Cigar, situated on Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota, originally designed for Sur la Table, repurposed the space during the Covid years. The establishment serves as a cigar retailer, lounge, exclusive whiskey retailer, and bar, offering a unique blend of retailing and entertainment. Sidewalk seating with overhead fans provides patrons with a space to enjoy cigars while people-watching on busy Lemon Avenue.
Private lockers and two cigar lounges, including the El Septimo branded lounge, contribute to the high-end experience. Key design considerations focused on humidity management and smoke control. The much-anticipated Corona Cigar, opened in 2023, boasts over 2 million cigars in stock and is recognized by Cigar Aficionado Magazine for having the largest, best-stocked cigar shops in America, featuring thousands of brands from various countries, including a substantial selection of rare vintage pre-embargo Cuban cigars.
