Dade City

Hoyt Architects created the Town Center Concept Plan to revitalize the downtown core of Dade City, Florida. The concept plan strategically integrates vibrant "Main Street" commercial corridors along Meridian Avenue and North 7th Street with major institutional anchors, including a proposed County Government Center and a College/Vocational Center featuring a performing arts theater. To foster community engagement, the design features expansive public spaces such as Dade City Square—serving as an events center and farmer's market hub—alongside numerous neighborhood parks, ballfields, and a youth recreational facility. The inclusive neighborhood strategy provides a mix of single-family infill, multi-family housing, an antique mall, and a unique live/work artist colony. Enhanced streetscapes, urban greenways, and distinctly marked gateways seamlessly connect these varied districts to promote a highly walkable and dynamic urban environment.
